Projective Capacitive Touch screens (PCAP)
Projected capacitive touch screens (PCAP)
With PCAP panels, a capacitance is generated between finger, touch panel surface & ITO coating When scanned sequentially, these form X-Y co-ordinates with differing capacitance levels between the layers providing the data to enable accurate recognition of the area touched on panel;
Projected capacitive touchscreens are commonly used for smaller screen sizes, PC tablets, mobile phones, hand-held instruments, Electronic books, GPS, information terminals, gaming machines etc.
Keyflex Capacitive touchscreens can sense specific touch locations. Capacitive touchscreens do not require force to be applied to the screen’s surface for activation. Capacitive touchscreens are resistant to scratches and abrasion while leaving the responsiveness of the touch screen unaffected. Capacitive touchscreens are ideal for multi touch applications. The display can recognize more than one point of contact commonly seen such as pinch-to-zoom.

Working Principle
Surface Capacitive Touch Screen is an all-glass touch screen with double side transparent conductive coating. There is electrode pattern printed along the edges distributes a low voltage field over the conductive layer. When a finger touches the screen and draws a minute amount of current to the point of contact, creating a voltage drop. The current flow from each corner is proportional to the distance to the touch point. The X/Y location of the point of contact is calculated by the controller and transmitted to the computer.
Applications
Commonly used in relative large panels and commonly found in vending machine, Public access, gaming machines, POS(Point of Sale) ,kiosks, ATM, industrial controls.
Projected Capacitive Touch Screen
Working Principle
The operational principle of the projected capacitive touch panel: There are two layers of the ITO layer under the surface of glass. This ITO layer respectively forms the electric field of X axis and Y axis, which can keep balance by crossing the surface of the class. Once the fingers approach the glass surface, the fingers and the electrode X axis or Y axis will form a new electric field, which can make the local capacitance change. Then the controller will determine the location based on capacitance changes. Capacitive touch screen is very different with traditional resistive touch screen. When the resistive touch screen works, you can only judge a touch point. And if there are two or more touch points, you can not make the right judgments. So the resistive touch screen applies only to judge a few simple actions such as click, drag and drop. The capacitive multi-touch screen can decompose the user’s touch into colleting multi-point signal and determining the significance of the signals, and complete the judgments of complex action. Moreover, you can feel it when you lightly touch the projected capacitive touch sensor panel. Better durability, more than 90% light transmission rate, high transparency than the traditional resistive touch screen are the advantages of our products.
